GLOTRANS HAI PHONG AWARDED CERTIFICATES OF COMPLETION TO INTERNS OF COURSE 2

On March 17, 2021, the representative of the Board of Management of Glotrans Hai Phong awarded certificates to the interns of the Economics Faculty of Vietnam Maritime University who had completed the internship at Glotrans Hai Phong in the position of Sales Executive.

Two months of internship at Glotrans Hai Phong is enough time for the interns to have the opportunity to learn, be trained and have the most practical exposure in the field of Logistics. Under the right direction from the Board of Directors, the Steering Committee of the Internship Project, with the enthusiasm of all managers, the hard work and efforts of the interns, to this day, the interns have completed their internship.

After the internship, Glotrans Hai Phong is delighted to welcome two new members is Lam Thi My Le and Do Thi Yen, who graduated from the Faculty of Economics & Logstics at Vietnam Maritime University, have continued to accompany the Glotrans family, taking another step in their career - becoming a member of ales executive of Glotrans Hai Phong in particular and Glotrans Vietnam in general.

The project "Recruiting and training interns" is continuing to reap sweet fruits after many months of cultivation. Bringing Glotrans a source of qualified staff as well as giving interns valuable experiences as a preparation for their future career path.

Once again, Glotrans Hai Phong would like to express our sincere thanks to the Maritime University and the lecturers of the Faculty of Economics for always creating favorable conditions and supporting the company to carry out this project.

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses

Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.

Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment

Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.

The Legal Value of Insurance Loss Assessment

Company Q (Plaintiff – the Insured) and Company B (Defendant – the Insurer) entered into an insurance contract. After an insured event occurred, the parties could not agree on the value of the loss and therefore conducted an assessment. The unilateral assessment conducted by the Insurer was not accepted, while the independent assessment was only partially recognized.
