GLOTRANS HCM AWARDED CERTIFICATION OF COMPLETION OF INTERNSHIP PROGRAM PHASE II (OCTOBER – DECEMBER 2021)

On January 19, 2021, Glotrans HCM held a certificate awarding ceremony for the interns who completed the internship program – phase II in the position of Sales Staff at Glotrans HCM branch.

After 2 months of internship at Glotrans HCM, it was just right amount of time for interns to have the opportunity to learn, be trained and gain the most practical experience in Logistics field.

Under the right direction from the Board of Directors, the Steering Committee of the Internship Program, along with the efforts and enthusiasm of all the managers, the instructors, and the extreme assiduousness of all the trainees participated in the course, until today, all made an undeniable successful training course. And, they successfully completed the internship program – phase II at Glotrans HCM.

With the orientation to “spread fire” to the young generation, the responsibility in training and fostering high-quality human resources, Glotrans HCM has always wanted to assist the undergraduates to acquire basic knowledge of the professional fields, as well as to gain basic skills in work and life. Glotrans HCM has successfully completed the orientation set by the Board of Directors and the Steering Committee. Wish all the trainees  have a firm foundation of knowledge which they can learn and develop more to build a strong Logistics community.

DISPUTE OVER THE SHIPMENT OF ENZYMES IMPORTED FROM INDIA

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses

Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.

Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment

Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
