PANAMA CANAL TO FURTHER REDUCE DRAFT LIMIT FOR NEOPANAMAX VESSELS
The Panama Canal will further reduce the maximum allowable draft for Neopanamax vessels from late August 2026 as water levels in Gatun Lake continue to decline.
Glotrans HCM Held the Internship Certificate Ceremony for 4/2023 course
On December 26th 2023, in the midst of the busy days of the end of the year, Glotrans HCM was honored to welcome Mr. Đặng Quý Nhân, a member of the Valoma Association, who took the time to join the HCMC branch and the 4.2023 Internship Batch.
Dr. Thân Nhân Trung, a brilliant educator of the Hậu Lê dynasty, had a very famous saying: "Talent is the national resource" - to train talented people, it requires education from the school combined with the accumulation of experience throughout the process of internship in the business environment.
Ms. Thu, Deputy Director of Glotrans HCM, and Mr. Hoa, Head of the Glotrans HCM Potential Intern Project, expressed their sincere gratitude to Mr. Nhan; at the same time, recognizing the efforts and achievements, awarding certificates of completion of the internship program to the 4.2023 Internship Course.
In just a few days, we will welcome the new year 2024. This is also the time for us to review what we have done and not done in 2023. We are very proud to affirm that - despite many difficulties, the Glotrans HCM recruitment and training department still managed to successfully organize 5 internship programs throughout the challenging 2023 journey.
We wish all former Glotrans interns to always be on the right track in their future career path. We hope that in 2024, Glotrans will achieve many brilliant achievements in production and business and in the field of training and recruitment.

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses
Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.
Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment
Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
