GLOTRANS HCM PARTICIPATES IN THE INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION OF THE FOOD AND FOOTWEAR INDUSTRY IN VIETNAM IN HO CHI MINH CITY

Vietnam Foodexpo 2022 has more than 500 booths of nearly 400 businesses from 30 provinces and cities of Vietnam and nearly 20 countries and territories such as: Argentina, Russia, Canada, Korea, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand , Peru, Turkey, Finland, Poland, Spain, France, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar...

The exhibition is a big show of the Vietnamese food industry, which honors the national brand value of Vietnamese food; with the participation of leading manufacturers and exporters, meeting strict world standards for food and beverages, contributing to bringing Vietnamese food to the most demanding markets in the world.

The goods displayed and introduced at the exhibition include many fields such as: agricultural products (vegetables, fruits, tea, coffee, pepper, cashew nuts...); raw aquatic products and processed aquatic products; processed foods and beverages; processed foods and beverages (cakes, candies, butter, milk, canned and prepared foods, additives and spices, beverages of all kinds, functional foods...); machinery, equipment, food processing technology, food preservation and packaging technology, food safety and hygiene technology...

Within the framework of the exhibition, there are also many activities of conferences, seminars,... to strengthen trade connections for businesses.

Taking place in parallel with Vietnamexpo 2022 is the 22nd International Leather and Footwear Exhibition - Vietnam co-organized by TOP REPUTE Company and the Vietnam Leather - Footwear - Handbag Association. The event will take place from November 16, 2022 to November 18, 2022 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), 799 Nguyen Van Linh, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.

The exhibition focuses on introducing products, raw materials, equipment, machinery, new technologies for the leather, footwear and handbag industry... of companies from many countries around the world such as Italy, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, China, Argentina,... This is also an opportunity for many customers from many countries and territories to visit and trade, seek potential customers and investment cooperation opportunities. 

The exhibition held in Vietnam is a favorable condition for the gathering of a large number of enterprises in the industry to meet, exchange, learn and capture information, and at the same time display and introduce their products with domestic and foreign customers in order to find partners, promote exports, and expand markets.

The Insured’s Duty to Prevent and Mitigate Losses

Company T (Plaintiff – the Insured) entered into an insurance contract with Company B (Defendant – the Insurer). After the insured event occurred, the Insurer alleged that the Insured had violated its obligation to prevent and mitigate losses. The Arbitral Tribunal acknowledged that such an obligation exists but concluded that the Insured did not breach it.

Insurance Contracts Do Not Automatically Terminate Due to Late Premium Payment

Under the insurance contract, the premium was to be paid in three installments, and in all three, the insured party was late in payment. When a dispute arose, the insurer (Defendant) argued that the insurance contract had terminated before the insured event occurred due to the late premium payment and therefore refused to make an insurance payout. However, the Arbitral Tribunal held a contrary view.
