THERE WILL BE 55 VIETNAMESE BUSINESSES ATTENDING AMBIENTE FRANKFURT 2023

After a 2-year pause due to Covid-19, Ambiente Frankfurt - the world's leading large trade fair for consumer goods will return from 3-7/02/2023 in Germany. It is expected that Vietnam will have 55 businesses attend the fair, along with the participation of the City People's Committee Hanoi and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Ambiente Frankfurt (Ambiente) is the world's leading trade fair in the field of consumer goods, household appliances, handicrafts, interior and exterior decoration, stationery with a large scale in the world is held once a year in February in the city of Frankfurt (state of Hessen, Germany).

Sharing with reporters at the press conference to introduce the event, Ms. Julia Uherek - Vice President in charge of consumer goods of Messe Frankfurt Exhibition Group (the organizer of Ambiente Frankfurt) said that Ambiente 2023 is expected to have the participation participation of 4,200 exhibitors from 80 countries around the world, with a total exhibition area of ​​331,000 m2. It is expected that Vietnam will be present at Ambiente 2023 with 55 companies.

A new feature of this year's fair compared to previous fairs is that Ambiente will be held at the same time (3-7/02/2023) with two other fairs, Christmasworld and Creativeworld, on the same exhibition area. This is the first time these three fairs are held at the same time, in one location making it the largest exhibition to date.

According to Ms. Julia, back after a 2-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with the slogan "House of consumer goods" of this fair, Messe Frankfurt will offer a wide range of innovative and trending consumer goods for 2023.

In addition to the direct fair, the organizers of Ambiente 2023 also offer an online solution when creating e-commerce formats to serve buyers who do not have direct access to the fair, they will still be able to participate, exchange information, and sign contracts.

Ambiente Frankfurt is the international fair with the largest number of Vietnamese companies participating. In the latest organization period (2020), Vietnam had 60 participating enterprises. The group of Vietnamese goods participating in the exhibition the most is the group "Living" - interior decorations, handicrafts. This is an item that Vietnam is very popular with German and European buyers and consumers at fairs. The number of orders that Vietnamese businesses receive through the fair accounts for about 70% of Vietnam's export handicraft orders.

Assessing the opportunities of Vietnamese businesses when joining Ambiente, Ms. Julia said that Vietnamese exports to Europe in general and Germany in particular are facing a lot of potential because Vietnam has signed many agreements free trade, notably the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). Therefore, Ambiente is also an opportunity for Vietnamese goods to take advantage of the EVFTA to reach out to the world further and further.

She also shared, due to the impact of the Covid epidemic, Chinese businesses could not participate as large as before. Therefore, big buyers from Europe and America are looking for new sources of goods. This is a great opportunity for Vietnamese businesses.
